We sometimes take nature for granted. It’s easy to forget that we rely on natural resources for our survival – the oxygen we breathe to live, the water we drink, the food we eat. Modern-day life is so different from what our ancestors lived through that it’s worth getting a real glimpse into nature. Do you live in a world of high-rises? Is it a struggle to get outside to breathe fresh air and absorb the sunlight that we need to survive?

The benefits of nature are manifold, and no doubt embracing the natural world helps us to feel refreshed and in tune with the world around us. So, it’s no surprise that the concept of bringing nature indoors has a growing crop of followers — research has shown that indoor plants can have a positive impact on health, productivity, and even happiness. This article is dedicated to showcasing ten ways to bring nature into your home without breaking the bank.

Nature naturally improves our emotional well-being as well as our physical well-being. It improves our mood, increases our ability to focus, speeds up our recovery from illness or surgery, increases our energy level, and even improves our sleep. Did you know that going to green spaces reduces your stress and mental fatigue?

Have you ever walked into someone’s house and admired the beautiful and natural elements they have incorporated into the design? Perhaps they have a beautiful painting of a beach on their wall or a small vase filled with succulents on their coffee table? I have some great news for you; it’s not as hard as you think to bring nature home with you.

10 ways to bring nature into your home.

These TEN ways will help you begin to infuse nature into your lifestyle.

1. USE HOUSE PLANTS TO DECORATE

Plants are the best way to bring nature into your home, but they also have numerous health benefits. You will have not only more greenery in your home, but also plants that clean and purify the air. Isn't that awesome?

You may not realize it, but your home probably has a slew of chemicals floating around in the air from your furniture, electronics, and cleaners. And if you can't keep your windows open all year, especially if you live in a colder climate, this is a great way to ensure you're always breathing in clean, purified air.

2. NATURAL MATERIALS SHOULD BE USED

Another strategy is to incorporate materials found outdoors, such as stone or wood, into the interior design of your home. Make certain that they stand out. A stone washbasin in the bathroom, for example, would be a really interesting feature.

Floors made of materials such as bamboo, cork, or even actual wood are warm and have unique textures that allow you to feel closer to nature. This detail is more noticeable and prominent when the floors contrast with the walls or their surroundings.

3. THE TEXTURE AND COLOR

What could be more soothing than the colors found in nature? If you like the desert, experiment with more chalk, sand, dove grey, and muted sage green. Colors from sunsets, such as burnt orange, light pink, and deep purple, yellow, can be used to channel nature's ultimate palette.

Try a palette of greens and browns if you want to immerse yourself in the colors of the forest. Color allows city dwellers to venture beyond the sterile and cold concrete and asphalt of their immediate surroundings. Don't overlook prints inspired by nature, such as botanicals, which can add a touch of biophilia to your home or classroom in the form of prints on walls, pillows, other upholstery, or other items.

4. NATURE PAINTINGS CAN BE USED TO DECORATE YOUR HOME.

What better way to feel connected to nature than to hang beautiful depictions of it on your walls? Viewing nature scenes, according to Jean Larson and Mary Jo Kreitzer of the University of Minnesota, reduces anger, fear, and stress while increasing pleasant feelings. What would it be like to be able to gaze into a beautiful painting from the comfort of your own home?

Art has numerous mental and physical health benefits, including stress reduction and anxiety reduction, as well as overall well-being improvement. Art also increases our appreciation and gratification for what we have. It motivates us and frequently reminds us of what is truly important in life. In our crazy and busy lives, I believe we can all use a reminder of that.

5. Construct a green wall.

We often say that vertical gardens are a fantastic addition to any home or space, but there's an even more impressive addition you can make: a green wall. Allow nature to take over and transform your living room into a refreshing oasis.

Green walls are vertical structures that are adorned with various types of plants or other greenery. Greenery is frequently planted in a growth medium made up of soil, stone, or water. Because the walls contain living plants, they typically include built-in irrigation systems.

6. EXHIBIT STONES, CRYSTALS, AND ROCKS YOU'VE COLLECTED OVER THE YEARS.

Crystals fascinate me. They contain magic and exude properties that heal, protect, foretell the future, and much more. Crystals have been used for thousands of years to heal and protect people, and they are still used today. Crystals generate, store, and absorb etheric body energy. They also purify the environment and your aura.

The majority of crystals were formed by natural forces of the earth as a result of mineral and gas buildup at the earth's molten core. The type of crystal is determined by how Mother Earth formed it.

7. SET UP AN INDOOR HERB GARDEN

Here's a lovely way to add more greenery to your home while also having fresh herbs to keep you healthy and add tasty flavors to your foods all year. As someone who is attempting to go vegan, I believe this is a lovely way to grow organic foods that will make you healthier while also adding flavor to your meals.

These can be easily placed in small pots around your kitchen. Just keep in mind that these herbs require as much sunlight as possible to thrive indoors. Place them in a sunny location where they will receive at least 4 hours of sunlight per day. It is suggested that you place them in windows that face south or southwest. Windows facing east or west are the best option.

8. INCORPORATE NATURAL SMELLS

Use scented candles, diffusers, incense, or potpourri to fool your nose into thinking you're outside. When one comes in contact with the 'Loban' incense, an anxiolytic effect is experienced, and the individual feels relaxed and stress-free, with a clear mind. Made from upcycled waste flowers and 100% natural essential oils, Esscent incense cones are handcrafted by our rural women and specially-abled people. 9. Allow the natural and the artificial to coexist.

Bring in natural elements and make them seamlessly blend in and dialogue with the rest of your home's décor. Consider how naturally the tree and the staircase communicate and merge to become one and the same thing.

10. Create a Terrarium

It's a lot of fun to make a small terrarium. There is a lot of room for creativity here. Have fun selecting the container and plants, and then get to work on creating a miniature world... Terrariums require very little care to keep alive, which is an added bonus.
